John has been a lover of color for decades. A Graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design with a Bachelors of Fine Art in photography. John has been working as a professional artist for over 20 years winning awards, and showing his art both locally, regionally and nationally. John is one of a handful of visual artist educators on the states Roster of Arts in Education, working with students of all ages. John has been teaching within the State of New Hampshire's University System at the Collage of Lifelong Learning, Plymouth State University and the Laconia Community Collage within the arts department. John volunteers within the state tutoring students in Technology Students Association program.
John Started making Tie-Dye with friends and their kids to brighten up his 225+ year old Colonial Farm House, Everybody had so much fun, they all did it several times before John went looking for wholesale supplier of shirts and Dye. Combining his experience in arts education he started working with small groups playing with color at small events, and parties where he always leaves people with Colorful shirts, and lots of smiles. John’s Tie Dye creations have traveled to Big events at the Big E, and the Providence Convention Center where they have met critical acclaim, and have been mailed across the country.
While John’s shirts are fantastic, his real ability is helping others make their own Tie Dye Creation. “You can’t mess up a Tie-Dye”, especially when looking over your shoulder and offering advice. More amazing Tie-Dye shirts are on the backs of people that have done their own shirts at my Tie-Dye tent than i have created. Even Those who claim NOT to be artistic made some FanTabULously Groovy shirts. And what could be easier that leaving the mess behind at somebody else's place?
Sarah’s abilities lie in her strength of character, and the connection her smile brings to every facet of life. Her Love of life brought her to Germany straight out of collage to be a nanny, teaching English as a second language. Back stateside she focused on raising a family and being an entrepreneur so she could parent. The Teacher entrepreneur, mother, and general “Happy Girl” Fits right in with the groovy Stuff going on in the Tie-Dye tent.
Sarah’s designs are always rich and finely detailed with an eye on perfection. Not easy to attain with a splash of dye on folded fabric. While she may be missing the color theory and design background, her creations are always richly colorful. Putting her education background to good use, and keeping the fun in the hearts of Kids of every age that visit our Tie-Dye tent.
While her title may be ‘marketing director’ it should really be ‘colorful happy happenings director’ as her creative abilities are not just of color on cotton, but in how to bring our brand of fun into your world. weather you make your own, host a party, or just find one of our creations on your back she is sure to find a way to get the fun into your life, and a smile on your face.
